Ayekart unites with PA government to uplift local agribusinesses

Visakhapatnam: Ayekart, India’s first integrated technology platform, on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Society for the Eradication of Rural Poverty (SERP) to boost Self Help Groups (SHGs), community organizations agricultural producers (FPO) and the agricultural community of Andhra Pradesh.

According to the MoU, they will cooperate in commercialization projects of integrated technologies related to agribusiness and food processing at different levels of the value chain, and boost the domestic market as well as the export of agricultural products. .

SERP aims to create scalable opportunities in rural areas, find digital solutions and skills, and guide rural communities to fulfill their aspirations by creating agri-entrepreneurs.

Comes Ayekart who will bring model/flagship FPOs, SHG-run input stores in stand-alone mode and digitize SERP rural markets.

This collaboration will bring 69,31,113 rural women into 6,52,440 SHGs, 26,753 village organizations, 656 mandal samakhyas and 13 zilla samakhyas.

Ayekart Chairman Amit Kumar Singh acknowledged many activities, especially in the areas of adding value and strengthening FPOs.

“This venture will bring about the desired changes in the small and medium enterprises, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the retail segment by strengthening the traditional business and helping to bring transparency and credibility to the whole of the ecosystem,” Singh said. .

Commenting on the joint initiative, Ayekart co-founder and CEO Debashri Dutta said he was pleased with the MoU and looked forward to working with the state government.

“Ayekart, one of our main mottos is to digitize India’s food and agriculture value chain, help rural FOs and empower them. This partnership with SERP will be channeled through the FPOs and SHGs of Andhra Pradesh through the digitally synchronized supply chain and will improve their overall performance, providing the necessary assistance and support through the SERP input shops and rural markets. . This will allow local rural farming communities and SHGs to access a wider market for their products and create an enabling and digital ecosystem,” said Dutta.

The MoU was signed between Ayekart Chairman Amit Kumar Singh, CEO Debashri Dutta, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Budi Mutyala Naidu.
