Anthony advises clients on a wide range of sanctions and export control compliance matters, including under sanctions regulations administered by the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”). United States, the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) administered by the United States Bureau of Industry and Security (“BIS”) of the Department of Commerce and the International Traffic in Arms (“ITAR”) administered by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (“DDTC”) of the United States Department of State. He leads internal investigations and due diligence of mergers and acquisitions related to sanctions and export controls, submits licensing and advisory opinion requests on behalf of clients, advises on transactions involving high-risk jurisdictions and /or export controlled items, performs product classifications under EAR and ITAR regulates, develops compliance policies for multinational organizations and assists clients with supply chain due diligence. In addition to his US qualification, Anthony is admitted to practice as a barrister in England and Wales, and has extensive knowledge of UK and EU sanctions and export control regimes.
