Four new tax professionals hired at Access2Funding
Access2Funding has recruited four new tax specialists from various accounting backgrounds, all with experience in the 20 largest accounting firms or from the “big four”.
One of the fastest growing research and development (R&D) tax specialists in the UK has joined the new team to help maximize tax credit claims for clients’ R&D, as well as for train the rest of the team and fuel HMRC’s R&D. consultation documents.
Craig Flynn joins us with a background in corporate tax, having previously worked abroad. He brings specialist knowledge to the construction industry, having worked for Kier Construction, and he also worked in the finance department of United Utilities. Craig will work throughout the Midlands region.
Meanwhile, the northwest-based Leslie Maloney holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Oxford, as well as nearly 20 years of experience in the financial industry, most recently as as technical director of one of the 20 largest companies. Leslie has worked in a variety of fields, spanning corporate finance and transactional work, as well as tax planning. He also brings an understanding of computer modeling and pharmaceuticals to the role.
Within the Scottish team, Karen McCann joins a wealth of experience from her 25 years in the financial industry. She has worked in areas such as investment taxation, asset management, personal taxation and also previously worked as an academic trainer and speaker.
Kieran Newton covers the southern region as well as Northern Ireland, bringing with him extensive knowledge of corporate tax for SMEs, personal income tax for high net worth individuals, and planning and management. corporate tax restructuring.
R&D tax credits were introduced in 2000 by the HMRC to incentivize innovation and translate into a reduction in corporate tax or a cash payment for businesses.
