IIIT-Hyderabad names four startups for a deep-tech cohort
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at IIIT Hyderabad has named four startups for the 14th cohort of the Avishkar Deep Tech accelerator.
The six-month accelerator is jointly managed by CIE, the International Institute of Information Technologies (IIIT-H), Co-creation Consulting and SucSeed Indovation Fund.
The four startups are Hirex.ai (a cognitive voice robot solution for automated job interviews); CometLabs (an AI-based solution for hiring deeptech developers); Embedsense (an industrial IoT company); and WebNyay (an online dispute resolution ecosystem).

“Connecting research to startups is a critical need to help realize deep technology innovation that can be successful in markets,” said Ramesh Loganathan, COO of CIE-IIITH.
“The program focuses on refining the startups business plan, team and overall strategy and preparing them for investment,” he said. “It makes it easier for them to travel from the starting level to the preparation at the VC / Angel level. “

The center pre-selected the four startups from a pool of 150 applicants.
In addition to research support, the accelerator offers business mentoring, market access and a 40 lakh seed fund.
The 13-year-old CIE has so far supported around 400 startups and provided seed money to 19 startups.
