The IIMB-NSRCEL has partnered with some of the most acclaimed international and national personalities to bring you an event that empowers women entrepreneurs

NSRCEL, the startup hub of IIM Bangalore, held one of its biggest events in December last year which invited female entrepreneurs from all walks of life to come together and celebrate their achievements. Here is a glimpse of the world of Mountain peaka space brought to you by NSRCEL that houses a community like no other.

This two-day virtual event took place on December 10 and 11, 2021, bringing together more than 3,000 participants and more than 20 renowned speakers from the business world.

We had local legends like Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, to international business mogul Daymond John, Founder and CEO of FUBU and Shark Tank, to come and address our many attendees and the spirit of growing business in India. We were also joined by other esteemed speakers like Heidi Roizen (Partner at Threshold Ventures), Rashmi Daga (Founder of FreshMenu), Megha Chawla (Partner at Bain & Company) and Vinita Bali (Non-Executive Director at Bunge Ltd., Smith & Nephew plc, Crisil Ltd & Syngene International Ltd).

The summit addressed several themes related to women’s entrepreneurship and the obstacles they face on a daily basis, such as starting a business after motherhood and the multiple ways of managing a family and its business. We also talked about first-time founders, multiple ways to build a brand, and help women in STEM thrive in an entrepreneurial space.

Vineeta Singh spoke to our audience about her entrepreneurial struggles in creating her cosmetics line from scratch, as well as finding her place as a female entrepreneur in India. “Women founders are good at multitasking and making quick decisions. This is the future of business,” Singh says. “This empowerment has a cascading effect – women are employing more women. big business, to be bold and fearless.

Daymond John, famous for being part of the hit series Shark Tank, spoke about his experiences as an entrepreneur and having the right mindset to tackle any obstacle that comes your way.

“When it comes to staying motivated, that’s how you want to stay on track. It’s about setting goals. We all have bad days, especially when you’re a true entrepreneur.

Goal setting helps you navigate your way to your dreams, helps you understand your passions, and keeps you motivated with your own goals and dreams without getting in the way of someone else’s opinions. Be responsible for your narrative and your goals.

In light of supporting women entrepreneurs, NSRCEL-IIMB runs a three-month program that inspires women entrepreneurs to scale their businesses through rigorous learning, leadership training, and networking with a like-minded community. Registrations for their latest cohort are now open!
