MSC Hosts Aggie PITCH Entrepreneurial Competition | Local News
Today, current and former Texas A&M and Texas A&M University System student entrepreneurs have the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes in the Aggie PITCH competition.
According to the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship, Aggie PITCH is “the only college-wide business plan pitch competition” at A&M where entrepreneurs can pitch the startups they develop.
the website states that startups are not limited to one industry, and any startup founder related to Texas A&M or any of the other 10 schools in the Texas A&M University System is eligible to participate. This is the first year that alumni are eligible to compete.
Held in person in the Memorial Student Center’s Gates Ballroom, entrepreneurs will present their business arguments as well as brief elevator arguments for their business.
“Aggie PITCH is designed to serve as a springboard for entrepreneurs with a start-up business in the early stage,” the website states. “Contest winners receive cash prizes from the largest prize pool ever offered in a business pitch contest at Texas A&M University. “
In addition to pitching their business ideas and refining their pitch, startup founders are also able to network with other Aggies who could be potential mentors, investors and partners, according to the program’s website.
