Commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), has expanded its Planning, Development & Regeneration (PDR) arm with the appointment of Alex Roberts to its Leeds office.
Roberts joins LSH as a director and will oversee the company’s PDR operations in Yorkshire and the North East.
Alongside this, he will also be responsible for providing expert advice to public and private sector clients on a range of housing, employment and infrastructure planning issues to support local plan preparation, promotion of strategic site and planning requests.
He said: “I am delighted to have joined LSH at an exciting time of growth for both the business and the planning, development and regeneration team.

Global resource and managed services consultancy, Hortor, has promoted three colleagues to support its three-year strategic business plan.
Former Directors of Strategic Development, Gabriel Field and Connor McCarter will serve as Division Director, Energy and Industrial; and Division Manager, IT respectively.
During this time, Fletcher Coutts will transition from his role as Strategic Development Assistant to Head of Strategic Development within the company’s energy division.
Field will lead the energy and industrial markets globally, managing consultants working in various geographies and within the technologies of those markets.
He said: “This represents the next step in my career progression with the company, having proven that I can consistently meet and exceed the goals that have been set for me.
“I look forward to managing others within the team and supporting their development, while developing my own professional skills.”
McCarter’s new role will see him augment Hortor’s IT operations through permanent and contract recruitment. It will also allow the company to build a team of specialized consultants specializing in vertical niches.
He said: “This promotion shows real confidence in my abilities as a consultant and is a great opportunity to take the next step in my career. The team’s trust and belief in me is really motivating and I’m confident that I can deliver and work to achieve the ambitions we have as a company.
With his new role as Director of Strategic Development, Coutts will take on more responsibility and enjoy greater independence with both clients and candidates.

One of Huddersfield’s newest recruitment agencies has appointed a recruiter to support its growing clients.
Red Diamond Recruitment – sister company to Red Diamond Headhunters – was launched in May 2021 by founders Emma and Simon Robinson, after seeing growing demand for traditional recruitment services within its existing customer base.
The couple decided the time was right to launch a new branch of the business to support the UK job market, which has 1.1 million vacancies.
Charlie Jacobs now joins Red Diamond Recruitment to assist the team’s recruiters by identifying skills that match vacancies, while sourcing and screening candidates.
He joins the team led by Executive Director, Carol Mosby, who has 20 years of recruiting experience.
Mosby said, “We are committed to doing our part for the economy by placing quality candidates in the positions we recruit for our clients.
“Even as a small but growing team, we work with multi-billion pound global businesses and see firsthand the positive progress the UK is making towards fiscal recovery.

Barnsley-based digital marketing agency Bigfoot Digital has appointed Lizzie Lewington as Managing Director of SEO Operations.
This is part of a corporate restructuring where Lewington will lead and oversee all aspects of SEO, content and digital PR operations.
She was promoted to Managing Director, following her current role as SEO Manager with the agency.
She said, “Implementing a large agency process and strategy across all of a small agency’s accounts has been a fantastic experience so far.
“With greater autonomy over our agency’s SEO processes, I look forward to continuing to deliver an effective, results-driven strategy for current clients and new businesses alike.”
The agency serves local South Yorkshire businesses, as well as national groups and London-based businesses.
Under Lewington’s leadership, the agency’s SEO arm gained major new contracts, including a recent appointment as YESSS Electrical’s digital marketing agency.
