Customers of India’s largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) will not be able to use internet banking today for a certain period of time. SBI Internet banking users will not be able to use various features such as Internet banking, YONO, YONO Lite, UPI for a total of 150 minutes due to scheduled maintenance activities.
SBI tweeted from its official Twitter account: “We ask our valued customers to stay with us as we strive to provide a better banking experience. We will be undertaking maintenance activities between 10:45 PM on 07/16/2021 and 01:15 AM on 07/17 .2021. During this period Internet Banking / YONO / YONO Lite / UPI will be unavailable. We regret any inconvenience caused and please support us. “
Last month, the bank’s digital banking platforms including Yono, Yono lite, online banking and the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) were affected due to maintenance.

SBI has the largest network with over 22,000 branches and over 57,889 ATMs across the country. As of December 31, 2020, it had 85 million internet banking users and 19 million mobile banking users. The number of UPI users of the bank stood at 135 million at the end of December.
Meanwhile, SBI will auction two non-performing accounts (NPAs) in August to collect contributions over ₹313 crore, according to a notice from the lender.
The two accounts that will be auctioned online on August 6 are Bhadreshwar Vidyut Pvt Ltd (BVPL) with an outstanding loan ₹262.73 crore and GOL Offshore Ltd with ₹50.75 crore membership fee.
“With regard to the bank’s policy on the sale of financial assets, in accordance with regulatory guidelines, we place these accounts for sale to ARCs / banks / NBFC / FIs, under the terms and conditions indicated therein”, SBI said in the notice. .
The reserve price for the Bhadreshwar Vidyut auction is set at ₹100.12 crore and for GOL Offshore at ₹51 crores.
SBI asked interested parties to perform due diligence of these assets with immediate effect, after submitting expressions of interest and signing a nondisclosure agreement with the bank.
