Seven participants in the fifth annual Summer Student Entrepreneur Program presented by the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation showcased their businesses to the community at a get-together on the lawn of Hamilton City Hall.

BEDC said the three-hour event was an opportunity for attendees to showcase their businesses and gain valuable experience in selling and promoting their goods and services.

The seven participants selected this year are:

• Aaron Lugo, of Lugo’s Mighty Mower Lawn Service, a lawn mowing company that provides affordable, high quality lawn care.

• Antoine Jones, from Capsule, an inclusive one-stop-shop for designer, vintage and local brands. The days of mixing are over.

• Isaiah Fraser, of Digi Portal, a game services company that provides customers with entertainment away from home.

• Ry-Aidin Evans-Waldron, from Snkrs Joint, a quick and easy way to get the latest fashionable sneakers in Bermuda.

• Salay Dyer-Raynor, from Captive Cards, which guarantees that you will have the perfect card every time. Their cards are affordable, high quality, and fully customizable.

• Taquira Simmons, from Lumineux, a personal care brand that offers affordable, high-quality products. They aim to emphasize and promote the importance of self-care, self-love and improving your mental health.

• Zen Mello, from Zenimations, which provides exciting animated videos to customers for whatever they need. Whether it’s an advertisement, a music video or a short gif, they can create anything for anyone.

The SSEP is an eight-week program designed to develop young Bermudians into the island’s next wave of entrepreneurs.

The program, which began July 4, teaches participants aged 13 to 21 practical business skills such as generating income, creating a business plan, conducting SWOT analyzes and even more.
