The government of Oman has granted his long-term residence visa to Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, President and CEO of VPS Healthcare.
The UAE-based NRI entrepreneur received his 10-year Investor Residence Card from His Excellency Qais Bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, during a ceremony held on Wednesday in Muscat.
The government of Oman granted the long-term residence permit to 22 foreign entrepreneurs during the ceremony.
On receiving the long-term residence card, Vayalil said, “I am deeply honored and privileged to receive the long-term residence card granted by the government of Oman. It is a proud moment and I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the leaders of Oman and to HE Qais Bin Mohammed Al Yousef for bestowing this honor.
The government of the United Arab Emirates granted the golden visa to Dr Vayalil in June 2019.
Oman’s investor residency program is part of the Sultanate’s efforts to stimulate the economy through foreign investment. According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, the program aims to attract larger investments to diversify the economy and boost gross domestic product growth.
Long-term residency has certain advantages and will encourage expats to invest more in Oman. The duration of long-term residence is 10 years.
